Due Diligence Framework

BTRF offers all River of Diamonds benefactors the benefit of its standing and credentials as an independent, non-profit Foundation:

• Operates under the Supervisory Authority of the Swiss Federal Department of Internal Affairs.
• Formally registered by the Indonesian Department of Foreign Affairs as an international non-governmental organization duly authorized to pursue conservation and sustainable community development programmes in the Republic of Indonesia.

By virtue of its status and networks, BTRF is uniquely placed to facilitate the highest prevailing standards of due diligence and international best practice with regard the conception, development and implementation of all projects and partnerships.

BTRF ensures the ongoing integrity and monitoring of all projects so that investments secure positive returns for the full range of stakeholders – including new capital flows into the region concerned, tangible benefits for local communities, enhanced capacity building and transfer of technology.

All BTRF programmes follow an Ecosystems Model approach designed to address priority global concerns synergistically. Particular emphasis is given to Climate Change mitigation and the UN Millennium Development goals of biodiversity conservation, natural resource protection and elimination of poverty.
