The River of Diamonds – A Planetary Symbol

The Indonesian provinces of Kalimantan are covered by one of the world’s largest but most critically threatened stretches of rainforest.

In the traditional language of this part of Borneo, Kalimantan signifies ‘River of Diamonds’, which is symbolic of the immense value and global importance of the region’s natural heritage.
